Along year 2021 Faber has been developing its Lean transformation. Such important step comes from the purpose of growing the competitiveness of the company towards the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The process started from the selection of Managers and Value Stream Leaders who will be responsible for the development of this transformation. Thanks to the co-operation with the Italian institute of Lean Management (Istituto Italiano di Lean Management) all people involved in this challenge were deeply trained about Lean principles and modern problem-solving methods with specific focus on waste reduction and improvement of workplace conditions.

Since last summer Faber started three workshops on the same production line, involving people of two different plants, in order to outline a specific area where Lean methodologies have been applied.

Faber is strongly determined to succeed its challenge through the right attitude of its workers and the improvement in the production process, reaching the highest levels of performance.

Established in 1969 and operating since 1972, Faber has grown rapidly to become the world’s leader in the production of cylinders (Types 1, 2, 3 & 4) and systems for the storage of High-Pressure Gases for the Clean Energy (CNG and H2), Industrial and Air Breathing sectors. The world over, with a production capacity of a million cylinders, Faber has earned the best reputation for its high standards of quality and for its capability to comply with the most stringent specifications set down by International Bodies, Local Authorities and its customers.
